It's good!

WARNING: This is going to be yet another of my many BYU-is-amazing-and-is-probably-better-than-your-school posts. If you are easily offended by such talk, I would highly recommend that you do not read the remainder of this post.

Ahh. It's good to be back. I am shocked at how quickly I forgot how much I love being here in Provo. Don't get me wrong, being home for Christmas was amazing, but I now have answers to all of my questions regarding where home is. It's in Kentucky and (for now, at least) it's right here. There is something different, something special about BYU. I wish that I could put it into words that would do it justice, but it's one of those things that are felt better than they are explained. I wish I could explain how it felt in Testimony Meeting yesterday as I listened to friends and ward members share what they know to be true. There is something so empowering about people surrounded by people my age who believe what I believe. That's something I never got to experience on such a large scale in Kentucky.  I wish I could describe in perfect detail the intense happiness that filled me when I walked outside last night and saw this:

Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera and couldn't get a picture myself.
Luckily, I have cool, prepared friends like Kendra who let me borrow theirs (:
Guys. There were floating lanterns outside my window. Just. Like. Tangled. Naturally, I launched into a mind-blowing rendition of I See the Light. The only thing missing was my very own Flynn Rider/Eugene Fitzherbert. But considering the perfection of the rest of the evening, I'm willing to overlook that. For now.

BYU is also spectacular because I have awesome friends who, in between Lone Ranger sightings, draw hand turkeys with me in boring classes. Theirs were pretty snazzy and maybe I'm biased, but I do believe that Winston is the coolest hand turkey ever. He has a top hat, monocle, and bow tie. Does it get better than that?

Oh yeah...did I mention the SNOW we got this weekend? I dare somebody to come and see the mountains all covered in snow and tell me that they're not spectacular.

Ahh.  Michael Bublé is playing. I'm done with classes for the day. I'm at BYU. Life is good.
