Day Two

You'd think that since the New England states are all microscopic that driving through them would be a breeze. Wrong. I'm not blaming the states; I'd attribute the roughness of today's drive to the fact that it was our second day of 8+ hours in the car and we were getting into the more complex Harry Potter movies that Simon couldn't quite follow. He asked a question about every 45 seconds. And I just have to admit that, being the Harry Potter buff (aka nerd) that I am, it tried my patience.

The day was fairy uneventful. We mostly just drove. And drove. And then drove some more. A pit stop in New Hampshire introduced my brothers and I to the palate pleasing experience of Whoopie Pies (sound weird, taste great). We've now arrived in Maine and are settling into the cute little house that we've rented for the week. It's a bit chilly and wet and rainy, but its so green and lush and beautiful!

I'm sure that by the end of the week I'll have pictures that are a much better indication of how beautiful this part of the country is. As for now, I'll leave you with the boys' reaction to "show me how you feel about being out of the car":
