I don't get it. I can't get it. What in the world possessed these intelligent women to be so stupid to say no? I would have melted into a puddle of goo before he could even get one word out. I will NEVER accept the fact that Jo and Teddy didn't end up together and that Teddy goes and marries the snotty, uppity Amy. I never liked her. And every single time I watch Anne of Green Gables, I am in pure and utter agony until Anne with an e finally comes to her senses and realized that, hey! she HAS been in love with this perfect man for her entire life.

I just don't get it.
